Flu Season AGAIN!
It is that time of year when allergies hit and flu season begins....since I am destined to always be around babies with dripping eyes, runny noses or ear infections I suppose it makes sense that I would catch something. This past week has not been fun with fever, chills, stuffed up sinuses, fatigue beyond fatigue, bones that ache along with a missing husband and two little grandsons who still need to be cared for~you get the picture. If you have posted adorable photo's on your blogs, thank you.........that is what I live for! Forgive me for not commenting or calling, I simply could not find the energy. I am pushing today to try to get through this and also to write my son his birthday wishes. Thirty eight wonderful years.....and my joy in reflection on that journey never pales.....I love you son.....hope you check out my blog and find this note. Dad is home and I am able to sleep more soundly. That in itself is a blessing. Love to all~

Mexico 2009
Well we are back from our yearly vacation to Puerto Vallarta and with our return home we were surprised with more snow!!! It is brutal to come from the warm sunny beach and palm trees to white cold snow. Lets just say the grandbabies make up for the difference! We had a great time and got to know our newest grandson Nathan a lot better. He could not be any cuter as far as this grandma is concerned. Olivia is quite the big sister and also a very good swimmer. One day we will enjoy watching the two of them swim together. Hope everyone is doing well and love to all~

Retirement at its best
January 2009
Today is Nathan's baptism and we are very sad not to be sharing in this special moment. The weather has not been very cooperative for us to make the long journey so we will be with all of you in spirit. I pray special prayers for you today Nathan that you will grow to become a child of God and will use your life according to his good will. Special hugs and kisses are sent to you and the rest of your family. Love forever & ever~

Winter Wonderland
Today is beautiful....with record snowfall we have enjoyed a quiet and gorgeous peek at what things look like covered with a blanket of pure white. I feel like someone just cleaned up the world in the way I used to try to clean the house.....totally redoing everything in site. I miss all of you children and grandchildren and can hardly wait till Christmas. I hope the snow subsides before you journey from your home to ours. I have put some photos on the web for your enjoyment. We miss all of you~ Mom & Dad aka...mema & papa
